This technology synthesizes polyoxymethylene dimethyl ether (DMM2-8) from coal-based methanol, featuring high cetane number (CN>63) and oxygen content (47–50%). As an ecofriendly diesel blending component, adding 10–20% significantly improves combustion: lowering pour points, reducing soot 80–90% and NOx emissions 50%, meeting Euro V standards. DMM2-4 also serves as an efficient solvent. Using abundant coal resources, it forms a coalbased clean fuel industry chain, reducing petroleum dependence.
