This technology employs a highly efficient, low-cost, and recyclable catalyst to synthesize cyclic carbonates (conversion/ivity >99%, yield >98%) and dialkyl carbonates (conversion >95%, ivity >99%) under mild conditions. Cyclic carbonates serve as important fine chemical intermediates and solvents, while dialkyl carbonates (DMC/DEC/EMC) can replace highly toxic reagents and are used as green fuel additives and key components in lithium battery electrolytes.
