This technology uses butene from petrochemical byproduct C4 and syngas to produce scarce valeraldehyde and pentanol, further synthesizing 2-propylheptanol (2-PH), a raw material for high-end PVC plasticizers like DIDP. This process can replace harmful plasticizers such as DBP/DOP, promoting the green upgrade of the plastics industry.
