This team addresses the issue of heavy metal pollution in farmland soil and the potential hazards of existing remediation methods by developing a bio-mineral coupled remediation technology. Relying on microbial-induced phosphate precipitation technology, phosphorus minerals and phosphate-solubilizing microorganisms are coupled to induce phosphate release, constructing composite microbial agents for in situ immobilization/stabilization of heavy metals.
