This adsorbent uses attapulgite as raw material and is prepared in one step via aqueous dispersion polymerization, simplifying the process and reducing costs. The product exhibits high adsorption capacity (heavy metals/antibiotics >300 mg/g, cationic dyes >1000 mg/g), fast adsorption rates, ivity, and hyhilic swelling to reduce mass transfer resistance. Additives and controlled-speed stirring address the challenges of clay granulation. The cost is approximately 8,000 RMB/ton, making it a viable native to activated carbon, it can be applied to wastewater treatment and heavy metal immobilization.
