This innovation addresses the challenge of deep-colored attapulgite caused by structural coloration (Fe(III)/Al(III) substitution) and associated minerals. It develops a reductive whitening technology to in-situ reduce framework Fe(III) to Fe(II) and uses specific organic acids to ively and gradiently dissolve coloring ions, overcoming the bottleneck of dissolution damage to attapulgite crystals, resulting in white rod-like crystal. Concurrently, ion/molecule induction transforms associated minerals into functional mesoporous materials with special pore channels.
