This detector, based on surface ionization principles, is specialized for highly ive and sensitive detection of organic amines and hydrazine compounds. Key features: response values for amines are 105–107 times higher than for interfering substances like hydrocarbons; strong resistance to water interference (response only 10-9 that of amines), enabling direct analysis of aqueous samples; compact size, compatible with all gas chromatographs, capillary/packed column systems, and usable as a standalone sensor. It is suitable for trace amine detection in environmental, chemical, and pharmaceutical fields.
