This technology achieves thermoelectric conversion by utilizing the hydrogen concentration difference between two poles and waste heat. The system consists of a modified PBI proton exchange membrane, a high-efficiency catalyst layer, and an optimized flow field structure. Hydrogen is oxidized at the anode catalytic layer to release protons and electrons; the protons migrate through the proton membrane to the cathode, where they recombine with electrons to form hydrogen, creating a closed loop. It requires no hydrogen consumption or external energy input, relying solely on waste heat temperature gradients to sustain electrical output.
