This technology synthesizes 3-hydroxypropionic acid methyl ester via ethylene oxide carbonylation (conversion rate > 90%, ivity > 90%), followed by hydrogenation to produce 1,3-propanediol (conversion rate near 100%, ivity > 80%). It has overcome the challenge of product- catalysts separation and is developing efficient hydrogenation catalysts to form a proprietary 1,3-propanediol synthesis technology.
